元Kero Kero Bonitoのメンバーとしても知られ、フューチャー・ベースや日本語ラップ、ラテン音楽を取り入れたサウンドを特徴としているSKYTOPIA。「renovated」（改造）と題された本プロジェクトは、昨年12月にリリースした、“家”をコンセプトにした1st EP『ie ep』の楽曲を、気鋭のアーティストらがリミックス。計6曲を各日でリリースしていくというもの。その第1弾として、カナダのプロデューサー・NΣΣTによる「Magic Carpet feat. ada (NΣΣT Remix)」が本日3月10日（火）にリリースされた。NΣΣTに続く形で、今後はメタポップ・ユニット・Frasco、都内を中心にDJ・イベンターとして活動するMARMELO、Genick、流線Kグルーヴとしての活動でも知られる簾ンデゲオチェロ、NINTENDO 3DS用音楽制作ソフト『KORG M01D』を中心に、手のひらサイズのガジェット楽器を駆使する夫婦ユニット・サイモンガー・モバイルらによるリミックスがリリースされる。
